Daniel White prosecutes 'Uzi' county lines drugs gang

Members of a drugs gang that supplied 2kg of class A drugs to over 130 customers have received sentences totalling 40 years.

Daniel White prosecuted the gang at Worcester Crown Court who supplied drugs from Birmingham into Ledbury and Malvern. It was called the 'Uzi' line. One of the key members was convicted after trial following just one hour of deliberations. He was later sentenced to 12 years imprisonment.

Operation Ballet, which led to the prosecutions, was the largest drugs investigation of its kind in the region. It involved an undercover sting and included officers from West Mercia Police and the West Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit.

Further drugs gangs are awaiting trial or sentence as a result of the Operation.
