Jabeen Akhtar secures acquittal for teacher after 9 week trial
A female teacher had been cleared of intentionally assisting the commission of a number of serious offences including robbery, kidnap and drugs offences, following a nine week trial at Nottingham Crown Court.
The defendant, who was represented by Jabeen Akhtar, had hired a vehicle for her partner (the main defendant) who then gave the vehicle to others to use in an armed robbery.
The prosecution also relied upon text messages that they said proved that the defendant knew the car was going to be used in the robbery.
The defendant was acquitted of all charges.
