Trevor Meegan's client acquitted of assisting in murder trial
Following a three week trial at Warwick Crown Court, in which Trevor Meegan represented a 54 year old woman charged with assisting her son in the murder of his friend in Coventry, the jury returned a not guilty verdict.
The Crown's case was that the woman has assisted her son in a fatal stabbing in July 2018, by driving him from the scene and washing and concealing the murder weapon.
The Recorder of Warwick remarked at the end of the trial that the defence had been conducted in an 'immaculate' fashion.
