  • News

A contruction worker has been found not guilty of assaulting a colleague by forcing him onto freshly laid hot tarmac.

The defendant, represented by Charles Hamer at Worcester Crown Court, was accused of grabbing the complainant round the neck, wrestling him to the ground and pinning him on to hot tarmac (which has a minimum temperature of 150 degrees C) for up to a minute, causing extensive burns to his right arm and back.

The jury unanimously found the man not guilty.
