Council Tax Officer Cleared of Blackmail
Jamie Scott has secured the acquittal of a former council tax officer at Leicester Crown Court.
The prosecution said that Jamie’s client had threatened to increase a landlord’s council tax unless he was paid a bribe.
The jury returned a Not Guilty verdict after deliberating for just forty minutes.
