Jamie Scott’s Client Found Not Guilty of Biting off Another Man’s Finger

  • News
After a four-day trial at Woolwich Crown Court, Jamie Scott’s client was unanimously acquitted of GBH. The defendant – a young asylum-seeker from Iraq – was alleged to have bitten off the tip of another man’s finger in a drunken rage at a house party. There were several eye witnesses.
The defendant maintained he could not recall biting off the man’s finger – but, in any event, claimed he was acting in self-defence because the complainant and his brother were attempting to rape him at the time.
