Naomi Nelson-Cofie, who successfully completed pupillage and joined Citadel Chambers as a tenant in 2016, has secured an acquittal in her first Crown Court jury trial.
During the trial at Mold Crown Court, the prosecution alleged that the defendant had used weapons to threaten the complainants at a remote house in Welshpool in 2015. DNA and cell site evidence were also features of the Crown’s case. However, it transpired that the house was being used as a cannabis factory.
The trial lasted 3 days and the defendant was acquitted after the jury deliberated for under an hour.
