I'm Interested in Joining Chambers
Our people are our greatest asset.
We believe in each of them as individuals.
We support them as our members.
Our clerks are valued and respected.
We work together as a team.
We always have room for both established crime practitioners, and those more recently qualified who are looking for a change, or indeed, to move into criminal practice. We are often joined by practitioners moving out of London.
We do not expect applicants to come with a following, but simply look for ability and commitment. In return we have a very substantial defence and prosecution workload that we look to service with high quality practitioners.
All formal enquiries will be treated in the strictest confidence and should be made to Timothy Hannam K.C. (Head of Chambers) or Rachel Brand K.C. In the case of current practitioners we recognise the need for discretion, and operate a process that ensures confidentiality whatever the outcome of the application may be.
Potential applicants may also wish to contact the Chambers Director, John Binks john.binks@citadelchambers.com for an informal preliminary conversation.

Our clerks are your first port of call if you wish to book a barrister or have a question you need answering. They take care of the barrister’s diaries and allocate their time to cases.
