Career overview
Cally graduated from the University of Sheffield, before completing the Bar Professional Training Course with LLM in Birmingham. Prior to pupillage, Cally worked as a Probation Services Officer across Worcestershire and qualified as an accredited mediator. Cally has also volunteered with both Citizens Advice Bureau and the Citizens Advice Witness Service.

Cally practices in all areas of criminal defence and prosecution across the Crown Court, Magistrates Court, and Youth Court. She makes clear, concise, and structured submissions and is experienced in dealing with defendants with complex additional needs. She is a calm and professional advocate who builds a strong rapport with clients whilst providing realistic advice.
She has appeared on appeals against conviction and sentence across a range of offences. Cally is listed on the CPS Crown Court General Crime Panel at Level 1 and has appeared on behalf of the National Probation Service. She has undertaken additional training in representing child clients through the Youth Justice Legal Centre.
