Jamie Scott, leading Omar Majid, secured the convictions of two men involved in a largescale cocaine conspiracy after a three-and-a-half week trial at Worcester Crown Court. The defendants were responsible for multiple kilograms of cocaine and cannabis being sourced and distributed around the East and West Midlands, and into the West Country, during the national coronavirus lockdowns. Encrochat was used to facilitate the conspiracy before the platform was shut down. The estimated value of the drugs being distributed was over £700,000.
Adam Western appeared on behalf of one of the defendants.
They will be sentenced with those who had pleaded guilty at an earlier stage later in the year.
